James Halliday 5 Star Winery - July 2011

Mount View Estate maintains its outstanding standard and is rated a 5 star Winery in James Halliday’s Australian Wine Companion for the third year in a row.

Following on from the prestigious 5 star rating in the last two years’ editions, Mount View Estate has again been awarded the same accolade for the 2012 edition. As Australia's leading wine critic, James Halliday's annual Wine Companion serves as one of the most important, up to date benchmarks for Australian winery ratings.

With 4 wines receiving scores of 94 points and above and an extra two wines scoring 90 points  Mount View Estate has further cemented its   reputation as ‘an outstanding winery…. producing  wines of very high quality’.

Only 5% of rated wineries have secured a 5 star rating for the previous two years  and again scored 94 or above for two or more wines in 2012.

Our wines were also noted in the companion of being of exceptional value for their calibre – something our Wine Club members know only too well!

	Hunter Valley ‘V” Series Shiraz 2009	93	“A rich and concentrated wine with masses of plum and blackberry fruit”
	Hunter Valley ‘V’ Series Rose 2010	90	“Drinking now and up until 2012”
