Wine Tasting & Cellar Door
Taste estate-grown wines from vines more than 50 years old, with the vineyard in view.
Our story
Winemaking heritage since 1971
Mount View Estate was founded in 1971 by Dr Harry Tulloch, a viticulture expert who saw the promise of the soil at the foot of the Mount View Range. More than 50 years on, those same vines still grow in basaltic volcanic soil, in a climate of warm summers and cool winters.
We keep our methods traditional. Fruit is gently hand-picked, wines are aged in oak barrels and each batch is made in small quantities. Our belief is simple: only the best grapes make great wine. Production is just over 30,000 bottles of premium wine a year, so every release is made with care.
When you visit, you taste that heritage across four ranges:
- Estate Range
- Reserve Series
- Flagship Range
- Museum Series

Take a seat and discover Mount View Estate through a relaxed wine tasting, with each glass sharing something of the vineyard, the season and the place we call home. With vines dating back to 1971, our wines are shaped by more than five decades of growing, making and enjoying wine in the Hunter Valley.
