Mount View Estate
2019 Reserve Pinot Noir
This delicious wine is a blend of our two Pinot Noir clones, Mariafield and MV6, grown on the bottom of the hill at our Estate. The fruit was hand-picked in early February, following another premium growing season. Grape bins were tipped directly into an open fermenter for a 25% whole-bunch fermentation, proceeding with a 2-day cold soak. Wild fermentation followed by a later inoculation to complete primary, pressed into tank and inoculated for secondary fermentation. Once complete, tank was racked to two year old and older French oak for maturation over 9 months.
