2023 Estate Pinot Shiraz
A blend of two superior varietals from another great year. Our two Pinot clones, Mariafield and MV6, are perfectly integrated with our Bottom Vineyard Shiraz to create a classic Hunter Valley blend. Parcels fermented separately, with the Pinot clones being 100% whole-bunch fermented. Happy warmer ferments occurred with an inoculated yeast strain before getting gently pressed off skins and left in tank for malolactic to finish. Tanks were racked to older french oak, where they matured for 9 months before being blended together.
